As of August 2, 2021 Dr. Santa Molé is the holder of the AICS Somalia office. An Italian expert in international development cooperation, she has as many as 38 years of experience in the field: she started in 1984 with FAO, in Rwanda, first as an associate expert and later as a full-fledged expert, and then served in AICS with a 30-year commitment.

She served as AICS office director in Islamabad, Pakistan, from 2016 to 2018, and before that as director of the Regional Cooperation Office in Belgrade, Serbia, with responsibilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, and Montenegro from 2011 to 2013. Between 2009 and 2010, she directed the Regional Cooperation Office in New Delhi, India, where she was particularly involved in the areas of rural development, infrastructure and civil works, health, agriculture, and social work.

Her professional experience within AICS is highly articulated both geographically and in the range of expertise: from 1992 and until 2005, as an expert in the Central Technical Unit, she ranged from the evaluation, management and control of agricultural projects and programs to the identification, appraisal, formulation, management and control of cooperation programs and interventions, while also carrying out study and research activities.

Santa speaks English, French, Spanish, and has good skills in Portuguese, Chinese, and Serbian.

A graduate in Veterinary Medicine, she has held several specializations and practiced this profession for years, including in the FAO. To this day, respect and care for all living creature are the priorities of her soul.
